President’s Message
Dear Friends,
I can say with confidence that this year has been unlike any other. In the midst of looming economic and social issues we
continued to move forward using our greatest strength – our community partnerships. As we enter 2022, I want to take this
opportunity to encourage us all to consider how we can come together to support Sheridan County.
During the next three to five years, Sheridan and Gillette
will be establishing their own colleges. This will be an
opportunity for each community to create an educational
institution to serve the current and future demographics
unique to our area. It appears that Wyoming is entering
another time of economic upturn with the increase in coal,
gas, and oil prices. We need to use this opportunity to
establish a sound financial basis for the future of our
communities.
Whitney Benefits is working to unify our community this
coming year as we assess national trends in higher
education funding and collaboration. Creating and
continuing community partnerships to fund high output
programs at Sheridan College will remain our top priority.
We will continue to initiate funding conversations with
industry to support local education as well as collaborations
with local government to address future business planning
and continued economic growth.
I would like to encourage you to make the most of this next year and find ways to get involved in your community. You have
unique skills to offer and can make a difference through volunteering, donating, or partnering in other ways with countless
local organizations working in community betterment. Together we can continue to support and advance our community.
With Whitney Regards,
Roy Garber
