April 2020 Dear Friends, Much has changed throughout our community over the past several weeks. Despite these troubling times brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic, I have been greatly encouraged by the response of our community. I have seen how you, and our fellow community members, have risen to the occasion and made personal sacrifices to help those in need. From financial donations to local nonprofits, to commitments to order carry-out meals to support small businesses, I have seen our community step up to this challenge. This has reminded me of the determination and creativity that is instinctive to us as Wyomingites. The support and generosity that exists here is rare and I am so grateful to you and all in our community who have created and continued this culture of helping others. It may seem easy to retreat to our own lives during this time but thankfully this hasn’t been the norm. Instead, this event has given us the opportunity to forge a new path in doing what is right by supporting others who need it most. I am thankful for your leadership in our community as Whitney Scholars and I hope to see your continued creativity in finding new ways to help. When we find our new normal after this pandemic, I know Sheridan will continue to come together stronger than ever before. With Whitney Regards, Patrick Henderson Whitney Benefits Executive Director
