Director’s Message
Dear Friends,
As 2021 comes to an end, I want to thank you for such a wonderful year and wish you the very best for 2022! Whitney is
grateful for the many blessings in our communities. We fully realize that the light of our communities shines so brightly
because of the contributions of individual community members.
Charitable giving is the lifeblood of most non-profits. The
generosity of community members helping nonprofits meet
their missions and provide vital services to people facing
difficult times is overwhelming. We are appreciative that
members in the community pay it forward by paying a
portion of our student’s loans each year. Whitney is also
thankful for the late Eleanor P. Gregg who generously listed
Whitney Benefits as the remainder beneficiary of her estate
through the creation of a trust prior to her death.
While charitable bequest giving is now becoming more
commonplace, Gregg was ahead of her time in thinking of
how her estate could be used to benefit her community in
the future. We are very grateful to Eleanor P. Gregg and the
educational impact she has made, and will continue to
make, in our communities for many years to come.
Eleanor Roosevelt is quoted to have said, “The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.” Mr.
Whitney believed in providing citizens educational opportunities so that they might better pursue future aspirations. He, too,
believed in the beauty of the dreams of our local communities.
I wish you and yours a Merry Christmas and a very blessed 2022.
With Whitney Regards,
Patrick Henderson
